The Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media (CEM) is seeking an experienced academic in the subject of Computer Science to support the development, delivery and management of a wide range of academic partnerships with our Transnational Education (TNE) partners and alternative providers.

The School of Computer Science and Informatics is based within CEM and offers a wide range of courses to undergraduates and postgraduates in line with emergent demand and the nature of these fast-moving, competitive disciplines. We have a solid track record of ground-breaking research and in REF2014, nearly 60% of the School’s research was considered to be world leading or internationally excellent. As a subject Computer Science is ranked 201-300 in the Shanghai Ranking of Universities. Alongside the university as a whole, we have huge ambitions for the future in terms of our offering to students and the quality and scale of our research.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the School in the academic delivery of TNE programmes, ensuring oversight of quality assurance, academic standards and the student experience in addition to contributing to teaching in-country as appropriate. An essential part of the role will be progressing new initiatives and contributing to the successful operation and management of the School’s overseas collaborative academic partnerships
You will have expertise and experience in teaching in higher education in Computer Science. Candidates coming from the industry sector will also be welcome. You will have a postgraduate degree and ideally a PhD in Computer Science, Computing, Computational Sciences, Engineering. Furthermore, ideally, you will be able to contribute to the research currently carried out at the School of Computer Science and Informatics.
