Faculty of Business and Build Environment

The Faculty of Business and Built Environment offers the highest level of education and practises high level research in the fields of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, and Knowledge Management.

Faculty of Computing and Electrical Engineering

The Faculty of Computing and Electrical Engineering is an international and multidisciplinary community of students and scholars. The faculty conducts both fundamental and applied research and is committed to the rapid transfer of knowledge and expertise for the benefit of society.

Faculty of Engineering Sciences

The Faculty of Engineering Science is the only purely technology-oriented faculty at Tampere University of Technology. Based on the number of students and staff, it is the second largest faculty at TUT. The faculty offers high-quality education leading towards bachelor’s, master’s and postgraduate degrees. The faculty administers one bachelor’s degree programme, three master’s degree programmes that are conducted in Finnish and two international master’s degree programmes.

The Faculty of Natural Sciences has a strong commitment to the highest level of scientific research, providing top-level education in under-graduate, master, and doctoral degree programmes. The main principle is to educate students who have strong basis in natural sciences and mathematics.

Tampere University of Technology (TUT) is an active scientific community of 2,000 employees and more than 10,000 students. The University enjoys a reputation as a sough-after collaboration partner in industry and academia and maintains close ties with some 200 universities around the world. Internationalization is an integral part of all our activities.

The most extensive and established of the international leading-edge fields of research at TUT are signal processing, optics and photonics, and intelligent machines. The University aims to be counted among the world’s foremost research institutions in these fields. TUT was established in 1965 and has operated in the form of a foundation since 2010.

Our compact and welcoming campus is located in the district of Hervanta and is easy to reach by public transport or by car. The Campus Arena taking shape in the middle of the TUT campus brings together students, researchers, staff, companies and alumni.

The building completed in autumn 2015.
